Lent Courses 2020

This Lent we are running a course instigated by the Archbishop of Canterbury exploring what it means to follow Jesus in situations of conflict:

'Archbishop Welby has a visionfor the church to be a reconciling prescence in the midst of conflict. The 'Difference' course helps us develop habits that will enable us to cross divides, practise forgiveness and be the community God calls us to be.'

A group of us went on some training to prepare us to deliver the course, and we came back full of enthusiasm! The 5 sessions are: God's Call; Crossing Divides; Disagreeing Well; Practising Forgiveness; Courage as Community.

We will run both a daytime course and an evening course:

Thursday evenings 7.30pm - 9pm in Brampton Methodist Church beginning Thursday 5th March then weekly through to Thursday 2nd April. Course leaders Edward Johnsen and Methodist Minister Rachel Williams.

Friday mornings 9.30am - 11am in Talkin Village Hall from Friday 6th March then weekly through to Friday 3rd April. Course leaders Fi Robertson and Edward Johnsen.

Please get in touch with Edward Johnsen (01228 670248, edwardajohnsen@gmail.com) if you are interested in either course.
